alright,
got it!

what i did is to install wxGTK, wxGTK-compat, wxGTK-devel & wxGTK-gl. all in version 2.5.2.8-3.1 in architecture i586 (!).

after that i came to the next problem getting xmule installed, the mkinstalldirs could not be found. so i changed the location manually in the Makefile.in to the correct location of mkinstalldirs.

can this be a bug in compiling?

now i have a running gui of xmule and can edit settings and connect to servers. but that's all. when i enter a search string (i.e. moby, britney or madonna where you MUST get any results) i get absolutely nothing. also the running downloads won't resume.

any idea?
should i make a new post?

greets!
