Better website! :-) (Score: 1)

One thing is certainly true, and readily apparent:

xMule's website is far more beautiful than aMule's.

xMule IS a great client. I would volunteer to do things, but I just don't have any experience in coding... And what comes to the complaints, does it really matter that much if "the search dialog sucks" or "the interface is less innovative"? The most important thing is that it does its job.

I just downloaded the xMule code and compiling it at the moment on Mac OS X (10.3.6). To check it out and maybe if I get time over (I have allot of studies =///) i'll be learning how to port it to mac os x and god willing port it.

You might want to add:

#include
#include

above:
#include // Needed for sockaddr_in

Inside ServerSocket.cpp so that the build on Mac OS X wont break =)

I think XMule is faster than aMule... and it didn't lock my CPU. And that is an argument :).

Keep coding :)

If this is any consolation Xmule is one of the main reasons that I have made the decision to port to Linux. If such software didn't exist (along with povray-kpov, mplayer, mozilla) I wouldn't have made the switch. It is a shame that Windows is more popular than Linux partly because of software availability and games.
Xmule is a great software that helps Linux users have what windows users have and perhaps more, when it comes to p2p file sharring.
KUDOS to Xmule project contributors and code writers, keep up the good work.

A direct copy would be far better.

You can't even arrange search results from biggest size to smallest size, by availibility, alphabetical order, etc.. this works in aMule, eMule, and hell, every effing client there is.

It does crash for me on Slackware after long periods, so I'd say it's less stable.

I don't understand how xMule is 'more innovative'. It seems like a completely dumbed down version of eMule, and _nothing_ more. There are less options.

I saw articles post here on why aMule developers are freaks. Perhaps it's this kind of psychotic competetion that drives away volunteers. It sure repulsed me from using the program. Perhaps people would be more supportive if the developers would stop acting psychotic.
