eMule has:

a) Open sourcecode
b) Open forums
c) Open irc
d) Open eMail to devs

The compiler issue is funny, you can't force them to use a free compiler if they can afford that one and it makes development MUCH BETTER. Why would you need to compile eMule when you have a) source b) binnary (in this case).

All modders also compile eMule, and I doubt everyone is using a closed compiler.


So get information befor posting bullshit on the headlines of a webpage.

Yes, they considered it. They disconnect the client. Which is no strange when the client implements BADLY the protocol.
