Devotion: Aka True Love.
Being there when it hurts;
When it ruins your life,
Never regretting.
The woman you've never kissed
Dying a senseless death.
Before you could propose,
Adopting her sons as your own.

Coding Blog: Most Valuable Music
Posted by HopeSeekr on Tuesday, March 22 @ 17:46:25 CST (1464 reads)
If someone could tell me where I might obtain the following music, it would be most helpful. I have already checked, *none* of these songs are available at any of the mainstream USA music outlets. Must I be a slave to the RIAA or what?
Most sought:
- Master Blaster - How Old R U [exact spelling]
- Chipz - Chipz in Black (Who You Gonna Call)
- Blank and Jones - Flowtation

Coding Blog: Code 46

Imagine the world approx. 150 years now.
Global warming has eroded the world's ozone layer to such a point that virtually all of the planet is desert. A few hundred million humans remain, mostly in large metropolitan areas where "cover" from the Sun is the most prized authorization...

Coding Blog: Why so many comments are modded down?
Posted by HopeSeekr on Wednesday, January 26 @ 23:24:16 CST (2031 reads)
As has been pointed out by some people, a great many articles -- OK, nearly every one -- say there are more comments than most people see. The reason is that they have been modded down by one or more of the users. Generally, all these down-mods occur for merely three recurring reasons: Flames by programmers of hostile forks, flames advertising hostile forks, flames against my personal character when in response to personal articles about myself.

Why *not* to use BitTorrent (scary!!)
Posted by HopeSeekr on Sunday, January 09 @ 00:37:47 CST (7111 reads)
Look, not since Napster has there been an easier way to nab sharers than BitTorrent, with the possible exception of Gnutella. Read how Apple isolated the source of a torrent stream and are suing him for damages.
Proprietary Operating Systems are the most grossing software products in the world. They could theoretically sue him for punitive damages in the millions...it does not matter if he can't pay. The less he can pay, the more time he spends in the worse federal prisons.
If you value a non-fascist world where such invasions of privacy are impossible, you should seriously support this project, as I have the legal experience, vision, skill, and dedication to make such a dream feasible.
It's not about money, it's about control.

Coding Blog: Merry *#@$@ Satanmas
Posted by HopeSeekr on Tuesday, December 28 @ 17:02:50 CST (512 reads)
Since 2000, every single year starting immediately after Thanksgiving my life turns to hell, falls apart, and reboots. This year it started on 11/27. I am now job-less (outsourced), money-less (stolen), car-less (asshole ran into me)...did i mention homeless? how about hopeless? O, no medication or ability to pay for it either, even though it *is* life-threatening for me not to have it.
Forget about Christ...this time of year has been outsourced to Satan. heh. Especially when your physician tells you to move abroad because medicine you *need* to live isn't financed by your government because it is "rare".
I'll say it again! The only thing I'm looking forward to -- in fact, the only thing I'm surviving for -- is a chance -- no matter how vain/remote -- of being reunited with Persa on ~28 Sep 2005. If you knew how wonderful I think she is, you'd understand this.
PS if you are a female and live in Europe or Canada, I *need* to marry you to expedite citizenship, because I'm seriously going to die early (and not feel good the rest of the time) if I can't get medication that costs $5000/month.
To top things off, my psychologist told me after 6 visits that I didn't need his professional help, my life was just too "abnormally hectic" for him to do much good, and otherwise I was of sound mental health. lol, at least he's honest :-)

Coding Blog: Thank *me* on your 150th birthday
Posted by HopeSeekr on Monday, December 13 @ 15:40:59 CST (2270 reads)
The history of my life is fairly unique among the landscape of humanity. I was one of the first to be put on artificial growth hormones (IGF-2) at the age of 2 1/2 in 1983, ten years before they put the same stuff in cows.
Due to recent medical diagnoses, it has been discovered that I am aging by an advanced factor of nearly 1.5 times that of normal humans, thus giving scientists nearly unprecedented opportunities to discover why we age, and how to slow or even stop the process.
A lot more follows...

Coding Blog: Depressed :-(
Posted by HopeSeekr on Saturday, November 06 @ 07:19:24 CST (2522 reads)
I dedicate roughly 40 hours a week, or more, to xMule. Running and coding it single-handedly is very trying at times, especially today. I just received an email from a person I had been trying to help for the last week. In the end, after I had dedicated several hours explicitly to him, he said he was going to the fork of this project, explicitly because of the major things I had done in the last 6 months.
Do you like the changes since, well, xMule 1.7? Should I revert vast segments of xMule to their state 8, 9 months ago? Please, I need some help here.
Do you want a virtual copy of eMule for windows, or a client that tries to be innovative and more stable?
