The next version will totally stop compilation *at*configure* if the user is trying to do something unwise.

Using the i686 x86 specific CryptoXMpp.cpp on non-i686 systems is one of those unwise things to do. 60% of our reported runtime errors involve the usage of that.

I heartily suggest getting the crypto++_devel package from your distribution for *YOUR* architecture.

CryptoXMpp.cpp bundled with xmule won't even work with i586s ... it is simply too *****bersome to include code for all technically-fringe architectures that xmule supports, and it is merely a convienence tool for i686.
