Hi!

Thanks for your explanation. For me, the solution seems to be simple: follow the protocol. It works for emule, it works for amule, it works for shareaza, mldonkey, edonkey and what-not. I think there must be something wrong with your client...or, try this: do not identify your client as xmule. Identify it simply as emule, 0.30e, or something. It's *not* a solution, I know that, but for simple debugging purposes, will do it.

BTW: network toolkit? me? my test-client is made in java. I needed it, since no *mule client would run on solaris. But now that is solved, so development is limited to for-fun only.
