Quickfix:
Go to types.h, and add the following line:
#include <stdint.h>

Add it between "#define TYPES_H" and "typedef unsigned char int8;" ;)

Now try to recompile... :)

I have exactly the same issue also on mandrake 10 !
I switch back to 1.8.4 :-((
