Yes it does, with a few minor bugs:

With 2.5.3+, *only* likely sources are counted in the connected:known source ratio in the Transfer Window.

Instead of showing high numbers like 340/500, it will be more like 50/500. 2.5.3 (for some reason) only counts low-QR (under 2000), needed parts, and downloading sources in this ratio.

While it looks scary, it really isn't, and 2.5.3 seems to do a better job at connecting to all sources too.

Well I have altered those two files and still the same problem. There is a sockets.h not a socket.h, and I cant find stdint.h so I'm assuming thats tucked away elsewhere linux library/header files? So no further forward here in SuSE 9.1
